Island Living Magazine
While employed as the art director for Maui Nō Ka ‘Oi magazine, the publisher decided to break into Mauiʻs large home and garden market by reprinting architecture and interior design-related stories into a bi-annual called Island Living. Overprinted home and garden pages from the Maui Nō Ka ‘Oi were bound with signatures of repurposed content and distributed on island in the airport, and home design stores. It was also distributed by mail to affluent local and part time residents. I took on the role of producing this twice a year which involved cover design, table of contents, editorial flow, retro-fitting old layouts, and working closely with the ad department to make sure page count reflected ad sales.
